Aparna was born in Kerala, India, a place that continues to be the inspiration for a lot of her work. She completed her Bachelor of Design in Textile and Apparel from the National Institute of Design, Haryana.
She combines embroidery and crochet to translate the admiration and joy she finds in everyday spaces and sensations into tangible forms. She creates patterns and textures organically, utilizing both hand and machine methods. Grounded in a deep appreciation for artisanal skills, she aims to merge tradition with contemporary sensibilities.
She is currently pursuing my Masters in Textiles from the Royal College of Art, London.
